What is PILATES training?

PILATES is a slow pace class comprising a series of floor exercises focused on the core muscles playing an important part in maintaining one's balance and spinal alignment; the pace of the class is mainly influenced by the participant's breathing.

How does PILATES training work?

PILATES starts with a period of dynamic warm-up exercises followed by abdominal muscles strengthening exercises that also improve spine mobility, develop leg and arm muscles strength, and flexibility. It is a demanding workout, carried out at a slow pace, to the rhythm of your breathing. Each class ends with stretching exercises and a relaxation period.
