It’s never too early to adopt healthy life habits. Julianne and Carolane will tell you just that. The 15-year-old friends have already been training at the Énergie Cardio in Joliette for several years with their trainer, Catherine.
Before signing up for Énergie Cardio’s Kids in Shape program, which gives kids aged 10 to 15 the opportunity to work out with a trainer, Julianne completed a free trial with Catherine, who would later become her trainer. “I immediately loved the rush of energy I felt while having fun and working out,” Julianne says. She caught the fitness bug!
After her free trial, Julianne signed up for Kids in Shape and started to meet with Catherine twice a week. “At the end of the program, I didn’t want to stop,” she says. “Since I was old enough to train by myself, I signed up for a yearly membership and 32 private training sessions.” Every Thursday, Carolane also goes to the gym to train with friends. She refuses to miss a session! “I know that I’ll feel good after, so I don’t want to miss a single Thursday,” Julianne says, smiling at her friend. She encourages her friends to sign up with her, and even motivates her mother. In short, Julianne has a positive impact on everyone around her. “She’s motivated, even when she’s not,” adds Carolane.
“I’ve been working out at Énergie Cardio for eight months, and I don’t plan on quitting at the end of my membership,” says Julianne. “After these eight months, I feel fitter, healthier, and more energized than ever before. I’ve noticed that my body is much stronger and has transformed dramatically since the beginning. I can see the results of my efforts, which encourages me to give my 110%. The Kids in Shape program is perfect for kids who want to work out, but don’t know enough about gym machines or exercises. Having my own trainer motivates me because I don’t want to let her down. She knows my strengths and believes that I can push my limits.”
Thanks to her training with Catherine, Julianne has improved her running time in preparation for a triathlon. We wish Julianne good luck for her race and all her future fitness goals!
