Succeed in your career through training.

Your story

In late September 2018, I decided to enroll in a police technology career program.

I had applied before and failed the physical tests. This time around, I wanted to make sure that I was up to the challenge so I could make my dream job a reality. I started working with an Énergie Cardio trainer once every two weeks to make sure I was making optimal progress in preparation for the physical tests.

As a sports enthusiast, my challenge wasn’t getting motivated to go to gym, but striking a balance between my different sporting activities. That meant I had to set aside boxing and reduce my CrossFit training sessions to make sure I had enough time and energy to go to Énergie Cardio five times a week. I had to increase the number of sessions with my trainer, Tommy, to once or twice a week.

The frequent sessions allowed me to maintain my training intensity and progressively adjust my program to make sure I was constantly improving. Working with Tommy, I pushed myself further than I would have alone. He helped me mentally prepare for the physical tests, supported and encouraged me when I doubted myself, and constantly pushed me to go the extra mile.

After all this hard work, I am proud to say that I passed the police technology program’s physical tests!
