From obese to triathlon athlete

Your story

Ever since I was little, I’ve been overweight. When I look at my pictures as a baby and in school, the first person you notice is me. I stood out because I was so big.

Over a year ago, after years of not feeling good about myself, I finally decided to do something about it. My journey made me change my eating habits, lifestyle, and priorities.

To achieve my goals, I needed the Énergie Cardio team. Having a trainer made all the difference in getting there. He helped me establish realistic goals, push my limits, and reach new heights. He often pushed me to get out of my comfort zone. I have since had to change trainers and the transition was really smooth. He easily and quickly adapted to my needs. What I love about training with him is when he randomly throws his “SURPRISE exercises” my way. “Surprise” is exactly the right word because it also means it won’t be easy.

Today, training is a must for me. I go to Énergie Cardio at least three times a week and try to inspire others through my accomplishments and various discoveries. I like to share different resources to encourage them to get up and moving. I make sure to get out no matter what!

I try to attend the new Everest classes at least once a week. This training also takes me out of my comfort zone. Group classes really push me to the next level.

The results are visible from the outside, but those on the inside are just as great. My physical, emotional, and mental health is excellent. I would never go back to my life before and I have a strong desire to promote physical activity.
