February is heart month. You might well be thinking that we're not telling you anything you don't already know. You're well aware that Valentine's Day, the special day for lovers, is celebrated each year on Feb. 14. What you might not have known, though, is that February is Heart Disease Prevention Month.

Being physically active is one of many ways to reduce the risks of cardiovascular disease. The Heart and Stroke Foundation recommends that Canadians integrate physical activity into their everyday lives. It isn't necessary to start intensive training to take advantage of the health benefits: barely 30 minutes of exercise, 2 to 4 times a week, is enough - and every little effort counts, even gardening, housework or dancing with your children.

We therefore encourage you, during February and throughout the year, to take good care of your heart, which beats for you and for all those you love.

BODYPUMP

BODYPUMP is THE weight class that builds up the entire body. In 60 minutes, all the main muscle groups are activated through the best body building exercises. The class includes 10 routines (including a warm-up and a cool-down), each lasting between 4 to 6 minutes and including a different musical selection to provide rhythm to the session.
